Horace Yarbrough

Horace Vestal Yarbrough, 88, of Kimberly Lane, died Sunday, June 19 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 12pm Friday June 24 at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Scott Slaughter. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home. Mr. Yarbrough was born September 7, 1933, in Davidson County to Purcell Addison Yarbrough and Mary Maxine Howell Yarbrough. He was a veteran of the US Army and later retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries. He was a member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Hemphill Yarbrough, his sister, Rebecca Stevenson, and his son in law, Roger Sadler. He is survived by his son, Greg Yarbrough and wife Susan of Chesterfield, Va.; his daughter, Jimmietta Y. Sadler of Lexington; his brothers, Clegg Yarbrough and Jack Yarbrough, both of Lexington; his sisters, Dorcas Biesecker of Winston Salem, Brenda Hartley of Lexington, Ruth Perrell of Arizona, and Virginia Podgaysky of Lexington; his grandchildren, Andrea Dawn Graf (David). Sarah Jane Sadler, Andrew William Sadler (Megan), Zachary Matthew Yarbrough (Ruth), Daniel Spencer Yarbrough; and his great-grandchildren, Harleigh, Sterling, Peyton, Isaac, and Raelyn.
