Howard Dwayne Fine age 70 of Dixon Street, Lexington died Thursday morning at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Mike Fritts, and burial will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Howard was born in Davidson County July 17, 1937 to Grady Thomas Fine and Nellie Mae Rogers Fine. He was a former employee of Dixie Furniture for 20 years and retired from Wellington Hall Furniture. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Samuel Lewis Fine of Winston Salem and Clarence Everett Fine of Denton.
Surviving are: Wife; Barbara Bailey Fine of the home, Son; Garret Fine of Lexington, Two Daughters; Kelly Burleson and husband Ron and Kathy Lankford and husband Jimmy all of Lexington, Five Grandchildren; Alisha Hailey of Greenville, NC, Chris Fine and wife Kailee, Tabitha Lankford, Nikki Wilson and Jordan Wilson all of Lexington, two Great Grandchildren; Chloe and Ryder Fine, two Sisters, Tempie Lou Fine and Ruby Fine both of Denton and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Friday night at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home of a daughter Kathy Lankford, 2604 Michael Road, Lexington.
