Howard Kelly

Born on September 21, 1954, in Delhi, NY, Howard was the son of Edna and Linden Kelly. He later made North Carolina his home. He worked many years in the lumber industry, but his happiest moments were spent outdoors. Whether in a tent, on a boat, or walking through the woods, Howard created countless memories with those he loved.

A man of Methodist faith, Howard lived his life grounded in love for his family, guided by faith, and committed to community.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Tammy; his children Brandon, Matthew (Danielle), Sean, Gretchen (Michael), and Suzanne; his sister, Annette; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren who lovingly called him “Poppie.”

Howard will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, his strong work ethic, and the quiet kindness he extended to everyone around him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory.
