Hoyle Hedrick

Thomas Hoyle Hedrick, age 74 of Linwood Southmont Road, Lexington passed away Friday morning at Lexington Health Care.   Funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Friday (July 12, 2013) in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Rev. Kelly Ottinger and Rev. G.A. Pressley officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6-8 pm Thursday night and at other times at the home.   Hoyle was born in Davidson County, March 9, 1939 to Gould Wilburn and Lucille McDaniel Hedrick. He was of the Baptist Faith. He formerly owned and operated Hoyle’s Drive In, Lexington, Asheboro and Spencer; Hedrick’s BBQ in Thomasville; Triad Fish Camp and Family Fish Camp in Asheboro; Lakeside Fish Camp Southmont; The Old Store and Hoyle’s Auto Sales in Southmont. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis Hoyle Hedrick in 1994; grandchildren, Alex Norman and Baby Girl Alford and his brother, Coy Lee Hedrick, Sr.   He is survived by his wife, Sherrell Dennis Hedrick; daughters, Tina Hedrick, Vicki Hedrick and Tambra Hughes (Rusty) all of Lexington; son, Scott Hedrick (Donna) of Lexington; grandchildren, Clayton Leftwich, Jamie Hughes, Kyle Leftwich (Jenna), Lauren Hughes (Ervin), Bradley Hedrick (Konnie), Samantha Alford, Colby Hughes, Chaz Norman (Allie), Jessica Hedrick, Ethan Hedrick and special grandson, Nathan Neely; great-granddaughter, Karmen Leftwich; sisters, Peggy Owens (Lindsay) and Geraldine Shoaf (Bobby) all of Lexington; sister-in-law, Patsy Everhart Hedrick; numerous nieces and nephews.
