Hubert Franklin Cockman

Hubert Franklin Cockman, age 80, of 521 Follansbee Rd, Winston Salem, NC passed away Friday May 11, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm on Sunday May 13, 2012 at Faith Missionary Alliance Church with Pastors Michael Gates and Albert Smith. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday May 13, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the church. Hubert was born August 9, 1931 in Moore County, NC. He retired in 1996 from Traffic Control Devices, Inc, in Altamonte Springs, Florida and moved back to NC. He was a Korean War veteran, serving 4 years in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. J and Dora Cockman, brother, Rev. Clyde Cockman, sisters: Ruby Smith, Clara Wallace and Crissie York and also his daughter, Sandra C. Prime and his son, Franklin Hubert Cockman. Hubert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Wilma Nifong Cockman, a granddaughter, Cheryl Kilgore of Cooksville, TN, 3 great-grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews.
