Hulin Franklin Shoaf, age 84 of Leonard Road, Lexington passed away Saturday morning at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday (6-23-2009) at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Mark Craddock officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
Hulin was born in Davidson County, December 30, 1924 to Baxter Farris Shoaf and Lillian Reid Shoaf. He was a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren and a retired employee of Dixie Furniture. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Michael Shoaf, three brothers, Woodrow, Reid and Russell Shoaf and two sisters, Lula Mae Walser and Letha Walser.
Surviving are; one daughter, Kitty Shoaf Cripliver and husband Bruce of Smyrna, Georgia; one son, Benny Franklin Shoaf and wife Kathi of Spartanburg, SC, three grandchildren, Brittany Cripliver, Jeffrey Shoaf and Lori Shoaf and two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Odessa Shoaf, Aileen Craver, Elsie Leonard and Ruth Lambeth all of Lexington.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 12:30 until 2:00 pm Tuesday,
prior to the service.
