Ian Howard Gimple

Ian Howard Gimple, 63, passed away peacefully at Trellis Hospice, Winston-Salem, NC, surrounded by his family, on September 28, 2025.

Born in Montreal, Canada, Ian was the beloved husband of Lorna Galagar and devoted father to Marang Gimple. Ian was the cherished son of Irving Gimple of Montreal, Canada, and the late Marilyn Gimple, and loving brother to Avery Gimble and sister-in-law Claire Gimble of Winston-Salem, NC, and Barry Gimple of Montreal, Canada. He was a proud uncle to Josh Gimble of Hollywood, FL and Marissa Gimble of Charlotte, NC, and a great uncle to Jonah and Elisa Gimble of Hollywood, FL. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

A service will be held at 11 am, Friday, October 3rd, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel, 858 Hickory Tree Road, Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27127, with Pastor Dave Beverly officiating. Burial will follow in the Triad Journey Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Forsyth County Humane Society 4881 Country Club Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
