Ida Elizabeth Byerly

Ida Elizabeth Byerly, age 96, of Lexington passed away Friday morning (May 22, 2015) at Hinkle Hospice House. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (May 25, 2015) at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Clyde Akers officiating. Family will receive friends following graveside service. Ida was born in Davidson County, May 29, 1918 to Cicero Byerly and Bessie Hoffman Byerly. She was a member of Leonard Road Baptist Church. Ida was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, working in her flower garden and loved to read her Bible every day. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Manie Byerly, brother Phillip Byerly and a nephew David Lee Byerly. Surviving are: one great-niece, Annette Odom and husband Dale of Lexington, one great-nephew, Danny Byerly; three great-great nieces, Ashlynn Odom, Leighanna Byerly and Delanna Byerly; one great-great nephew, Caleb Odom and wife Miranda; one great-great-great nephew Braydon Odom. The family would like to recognize the staff at the Hinkle Hospice House for their compassionate care shown to Ida and her family.
