Ida Erline Stonestreet Perryman

  Ida Erline Stonestreet Perryman, age 103 of Homestead Hills Passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at Homestead Hills Nursing Center.   A private graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Larry Allman officiating services.   Ida was born in Forsyth County on September 28, 1914 to Walter Clifton Stonestreet and Pearl Ball Stonestreet. She was a private duty nurse for a number of years, but retired from The NC School of the Arts (now The University of North Carolina School of the Arts). She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 74 years, R. Lester Perryman; sons, Vann and Mark Perryman; sisters, Louise Scott and Margie Bailey and a brother, C.S. Stonestreet. Lester and Ida were active members of Salem Baptist Church in Winston Salem until relocating to Brunswick County for 29 years. While living there they were active members of Southport Baptist Church. Ida taught Sunday School for more than 70 years.   Special thanks to the staff of Homestead Hills Skilled Nursing Center for their compassion and care during her illness.   Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
