Ida Mundy Widener

Ida Mae Mundy Widener 86 of Michael Dr., Lexington died April 4, 2010 at Lexington Health Care. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Terry Coats, and Sammy Allison officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday night and other times at the home of the daughter on Michael Drive. Mrs. Widener was born October 31, 1923, in Aiken, S.C., to Rison Brooker Mundy and Lula Mae Cain Mundy. She was a member of Spruce Street Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Widener; daughter, Joan Elizabeth Cushman; brothers, Lawrence Mundy and Jerry Mundy; and sister, Nellie Cotney. Surviving are son, Allen Widener of Charleston, SC; daughter, Linda Jean Tysinger and husband, Jerry Max, of Lexington; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Elizabeth Williams of Granite Quarry, Louise Redd of Windsor, S.C., Eloise Barker and husband, Dennis, of Aiken, S.C., Doris Yon of Williston, S.C., and Joyce Swicegood and husband, Carlton, of Lexington; daughter-in-law, Vickie Katen; and son-in-law, Billy Cushman and wife, Linda, of Eden.
