Idell Jones

Idell Marie Shore Jones, age 75, of Lexington passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Linda Suggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Elbaville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Advance.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 10:00 am prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones was born in Chatham County on October 25, 1943 to Clyde Fendel Shore and Pauline Hendrix Shore. She attended Church at Lexington as well as Thomasville Christian Fellowship. One of her many gifts were being a very talented artist. She was a loving wife, sister, and aunt and her memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ricky Fredrick Shore.

Surviving are her loving husband of thirty nine years, John “Boyce” Jones of the home; her brother, Bobby Giles Shore of Greensboro; four sisters, Patsy Harrington of Greensboro, Peggy Martin (Larry) of Kings Mountain, Clyde Jeanette Shore of Greensboro, and Betty Jo Shore Wright (P.G.) of Greensboro; on nephew, Troy Wright; four nieces, Angela Marie Shore, Shannon Archer, Pam McCurry and Annie Hawks; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
