Imogene Cordell

  Imogene Robertson Cordell, age 83, of Lexington passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Grayson Creek Assisted Living.   A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar, AL. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in Flatrock, AL.   The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Funeral Home prior to the service.   Mrs. Cordell was born in Henagar, AL on June 14, 1933 to Ellis and Mayme Robertson. She was a photographer and owned and operated Photography by Jean. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David “Bud” Cordell; one son, Gary Caldwell; and three brothers, Winford Robertson, Ray Robertson, and Togo Robertson.   Surviving are her two sons, Doug Caldwell (Vonda) of Lexington, NC and Jon Cordell (Deb) of Section, AL; one daughter, Karen Crowell (Bobo) of Fyffe, AL; three brothers, Gaye Robertson (Nancy), Ralph Robertson (Carolyn),and Cecil Robertson (JoAnn); two sisters, Mildred Garren, and Polly Cooper (Melvin); one sister in law, Wanda Robertson; and nine grandchildren.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Forsyth County at 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103.
