Ina Grace Curtis Talley

Ina Grace Curtis Talley, 75, of Davidson County, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at High Point Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ina was born on April 14, 1949, in Davidson County, to the late Augustus Elwood Curtis Jr. and Mary Lafferty Dunsmuir Curtis. She graduated at 16, skipping ahead two years in school. Ina and her husband, Ronald, managed a Holiday Inn for many years, and later went on to work for 911 Telecommunications, retiring after 25 years in Supervision.

Ina was an extraordinary woman whose love and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. As a devoted mother of three, Corky, Dusti, and Charlee, and a grandmother of ten grandchildren, she poured her heart into raising her children with boundless affection, patience, and wisdom. Her nurturing spirit created a home filled with laughter, comfort, and endless support.

Beyond her role as a mother, she was a beacon of strength and resilience, facing life’s challenges with grace and determination. For those who knew her, she was known to be feisty and quick to put you in line. However, she was fiercely loyal to those who were blessed to be her family and friends.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Lloyd Talley, and brother, Tommy Curtis.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lisa “Charlee” Everhart, and Mary “Dusti” Martin; son, Tony Burris (Amber); grandchildren, Cassie, CJ, Leslie, Christine, Caleb, Bailey, Nicole, Hannah, Lillie, and Jonathan; nine great grandchildren with one on the way; and sweet fur-baby, Lil Booger.

Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and uplift those she leaves behind.
