Inez Michael Mize Sharpe

Inez Michael Mize Sharpe, 92, of Lexington Health Care, formerly of the Welcome Community, died Friday, March 14, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Beulah United Church of Christ by the Rev. Joe Beane. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and at the other times at the home of her daughter. Inez was born in Davidson County on Jan. 16, 1922, to Harvey Alexander and Sallie Lanier Michael. She was a homemaker and a member of Beulah United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands William “Bill” James Mize Jr., in 1961 and S.A Sharpe in 1992; son Billy D. Mize; grandson David James Edward Mize; great-grandson Austin James Edwards; sisters Leona Snider, Eula Veigh Hege and Daphne Kinsey; brothers Varn and Howard Michael; and daughter- in-law Lisa Mize. Surviving are her loving daughter and caregiver, Debbie M. Jones (Forrest) of Welcome; son William Steve Mize of Welcome; daughter-in-law Sherry Mize; sister-in-law Mary Michael of Welcome; grandchildren Dockie (Lisa), Darcy, Stephanie, Chris (Kristy) and Adam; and great-grandchildren Skylar, Kayla, Madison and Houston.
