Irene Latham Barnes

Irene Latham Barnes 91 passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Hospice House of High Point.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   A visitation will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel and other times at the home.   Irene was born in Davidson County on October 26, 1925 to Harvey Lee Latham and Sadie Lenora Latham.  She retired from Acme Samples Books and was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dover “Toby” Lennox Barnes; brothers, Foy, Willard, Austin and Wade Latham; sisters, Mildred Hart, Lila Barnes, Jean Rummage and Martha Leonard.   Surviving is a daughter, Debra Howard (Craig) of Winston-Salem; a brother, Jack Latham; sisters, Kathleen Michael and Lucille Queen.   Memorials may be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church, 2922 Bethesda Road, Lexington, NC  27295.
