Irene Young Bean

Mrs. Irene Young Bean, 83, a resident of New Bowers Road, died Wednesday at her home after declining health. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 3, 2009 from the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Revs. Don Leonard and Claudie Harrison. Burial will follow at Memorial United Church of Christ Cemetery. Mrs. Bean was born November 22, 1925 in Davidson County to Deaton Young and Pearl Parks Young. She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial United Church of Christ. Her brother, Woodrow Young, preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband, Calvin Bean, of the home; her brother, Smith Young of Lexington; and her sisters, Paige Kennedy of Lexington, and Lillian Green of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
