Irene Richardson Hege

Irene Richardson Hege, of Brookdale of Chapel Hill, formerly of Arvil Hunt Road in Lexington, died Friday, April 08, 2016, at the center. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016, at Davidson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Henry Watterson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Hege was born March 4, 1923, in Davidson County, to James N. Richardson Sr. and Chessie Carter Richardson. She was a member of Reeds Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dee Hege who died in 1979; brothers, J.N. Richardson Jr. and Everett Richardson; sister, Lillian R. Talent; grandson, Damon Hege; and daughter-in-law, Linda M. Hege. Surviving are her son, Jerald D. Hege of Durham; daughter, Kathy H. McDonald of Durham; granddaughter, Dawn Hege of Durham; and sister, Sadie R. Rice of Davie County. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the donor’s choice.
