Irene Honeycutt Sanders

Irene Honeycutt Sanders, 68, of Stepp Grubb Road, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014, Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center. A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015, at Lakeview Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Pastor David Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home. Mrs. Sanders was born October 29, 1946, in Cabarrus County, to Bruce Honeycutt and Ruth Almond Honeycutt. She was a stocker at Roses. Surviving are her husband, Larry Sanders of the home; sons, Jeff Steelman and wife, Sherry and Dwayne Steelman, all of Concord; daughter, Tana Long and husband Avery of Concord; four grandchildren, Morghan, Madelyn, Madison and Courtney; three step- grandchildren, Dakotah, Larry and Abby; and one great-grandchild, Elijah; brothers, Boyd Honeycutt and wife Charlene of Mt. Pleasant, Herman Honeycutt of Mooresville, Dewey Honeycutt of Locust and Hujay and wife Reva Honeycutt of Concord; and sisters, Mary Smith and husband Jerry of Locust and Johnsie Helms of Frog Pond.
