Irene Elizabeth Clapp Tysinger, age 94 of Parks Road, Lexington went peacefully to be with the Lord, Saturday morning, July 16, 2016 at her home.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Miller of Cherokee, NC officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service.
Irene was born in Chatham County, October 10, 1921 to Alfred and Flossie Clapp. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and caregiver for many years. She loved quilting, cooking, road trips and spending time with her family. Through all of her struggles she embraced her love of the Lord and knew he would get her through until it was time for her to start her new journey. She will now be able to reunite with her husband Norman, son Bobby and other family members that have passed.
Surviving are 3 sons, John A. Tysinger (Judy), Raymond L. Tysinger (Karen) and Steve F. Tysinger all of Lexington; daughters, Norma Jean Everhart (Wayne), Linda G. Tipton (Dennis), Beulah Frances Womble (Bobby) and Cheryl A. Miller (Jerry) all of Lexington; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; a loving sister, Gladys Fesmire of Siler City and many other cherished family member and friends.
The family would like to thank Hospice for having a wonderful support team. Also to Irene’s youngest son Steve, who has been her main caregiver the past few years. You are such a blessing to this family and did a wonderful job of taking care of our mother.
