Iris "Cile" Cecile Nelson

Iris “Cile” Cecile Wells Nelson, 76, of Boones Cave Road, died Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.   The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, at Churchland Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Jerry Wilkes officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral home Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m.   Mrs. Nelson was born April 10, 1940, in Roanoke County, Va., to Kemper Wells and Hallie Bobbitt Wells. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to everyone she met.   Surviving are her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Thomas Nelson of the home; son, Tommy Nelson of Mt. Airy; daughters, Teresa Nelson of Lexington, Tami Rothrock and husband David of Thomasville, and Tracee Prince and husband, Scott of Clayton; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a special family member, Melissa Smith; and several nieces and nephews.   Memorials may be made to Churchland Baptist Church General Fund, 7516 NC Highway 150 South, Lexington, NC 27295.
