Iris Kirk Hyatt

Iris Kirk Hyatt 71 of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 early afternoon at Winston-Salem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A time for remembrance will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Revs. Steve Joyce and Duncan Martin. Burial will follow at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Lexington, NC. A Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM, Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Iris was born in Davidson County on May 19, 1943 to Jack and Kathleen Smith Kirk. She was previously employed with the law office of James Snyder, RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company and Lexington City Schools. Iris was preceded in death by her parents and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, singing in the choir, listening to gospel music, and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are her husband Clarence “C.L.” Hyatt, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Abby Hyatt Fedor (John, Jr.); sister, Carolyn Kirk Smith (Terry); grandchildren, Maty Kathleen Fedor and John D. (Jack) Fedor, III. Memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, P O Box 410, Lexington, NC 27295. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
