Irma “Tootsie” Leonard King, age 83 of Pinetop Road, Lexington went home to be with her Lord Wednesday morning July 29, 2020 at her home.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Bradley Testerman officiating . She will lie in state at the cemetery and the casket will be open for public viewing from 1:30 until 2:00 pm prior the the service and family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.
Tootsie was born in Swain county, NC on June 30, 1937 to Charlie Watkins and Hattie Stanford Watkins. She was a member of Mile 2 Church and a retired employee of Lexington Furniture. She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 sisters and 1 brother and a son-in-law, Randy Testerman.
Survivng are her husband, Jimmy King of the home; daughters, Diane Testerman, Sharon Wilson (Tracy) and Karen Goins (Bobby) all of Lexington; son, Charlie Leonard (Kim) of Lexington; grandchildren, Michelle Burkhart, Bradley Testerman (Brittany), Brian Wilson (Tabatha), Jennifer Casey (Kelby), Brandon Goins and Adam Goins; great-grandchildren, Caylin, Noah, Kadance, Kameron, Kali, Keelyn, Kendall, Kennedy, Lillian, Makinley, Camden and Aubrey and her sister, Gracie Hill of Lexington.
