Ismay Leonard Berrier

Ismay Leonard Berrier, 86, of Comanche Trail, died Thursday at her home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 6 at First Baptist Church, where she was a member, officiated by Dr. Ray Howell III and Rev. Tommy Wilson. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Berrier was born February 20, 1921 in Davidson County to John D. and Mamie Leonard. She and her husband, Bruce Evans Berrier, owned and operated Berrier Oil Co., for many years. She was a volunteer at Lexington Memorial Hospital and a member of the Senior Adult Choir at her church. Mr. Berrier preceded in her death on September 9, 1991. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Bruce Berrier of Winston Salem; her daughter, Linda Gray and husband, Carl of Lexington; her sister, Geraldine Westmoreland of Lexington; her grandchildren: Anna Gray Barnett and husband, Luke, and William Andrew Gray; and her great grandson, William Gray Barnett. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday in the Church Parlor, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to RHA Howell Care Center/Gatewood, 1508 Gatewood Avenue, Greensboro NC 27405, where her grandson, Will Gray is a resident.
