Ivy Carter Poole

Ivy Carter Poole, 55, of Early Miller Road, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House. A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Center Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Alexander officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mrs. Poole was born February 7, 1958, in Guilford County, to Clyde Carter and Elizabeth Lucas Carter. She was a supervisor at PPG and attended Center Hill Baptist Church. Her father preceded her in death. Surviving are her loving husband of 10 years, Clyde Kenneth Poole of the home; mother, Elizabeth Lucas Carter of Greensboro; sons, James Thomas Self and Paul Douglas Self and wife Crystal, all of Greensboro; grandchildren, Skylar Self, Matthew Self, Jacob Derushia, Logan Disque, and Felecia McArthur; brother, Robert Carter and wife Margaret of Greensboro; and sisters, Teresa Slater and husband Niels of Jacksonville, Kathy Hall and husband Gordon of McCleansville, and Tammy Apple and husband Buddy of Summerfield.
