Jack Clemmer

December 15, 1935 — March 6, 2009

On December 15, 1935, during the midst of the Great Depression, a son and future father was brought into this world. Out of those terrible and desperate times, Jack Boger Clemmer was placed here (temporarily) by his heavenly father. After long fruitful service on this earth, he was called to his eternal home on Friday, March 6, 2009, by that same heavenly father. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at Meadowview Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Chris Bitterman. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. He was the beloved husband of Winnie Parks Clemmer; beloved father of Eddie Clemmer and wife, Diana, Jeff Clemmer and wife, Kim, Lee Clemmer, and Andy Clemmer and wife, Andrea; beloved grandfather of eight grandchildren, Robert, Erin, Christopher, Joseph, Jacob, Laura, Simon, Meredith and one deceased grandchild, Jason; beloved brother of Louise Watkins and Nancy Leonard and husband, David, all of Lexington; and beloved uncle. He was a church elder and Deacon at Meadowview Presbyterian Church, where he was a member since its founding in 1944. As the patriarch of “Clemmerville,” he will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his wit and wisdom. He now rests in the arms of his savior. (II Corinthians 5:1) The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church prior to the service and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O. Box 1941, Lexington, NC 27293; or Meadowview Presbyterian Church Missions Fund, One GraceWay Drive, Lexington, NC 27295.
