Jack Cook

Jack Alton Cook, 76, of 385 Jess Cross Road, died Saturday February 14, 2009 at his home after an illness of 3 months. A funeral service was held 2:00 pm Monday February 16, 2009 at Davidson Funeral, with Rev. David Langley officiating, burial followed at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Cross was born May 5, 1932 in Carbarrus County to Harlie Albert Cook and Mary Ella Hurlocker Cook. He was a retired Truck Driver for Byrd Motor Lines. He was preceded in death by several brother and sisters. Surviving are his wife Frances Cook of the home, one son, Rodney Cook and wife Dolly of Lexington; a step daughter, Pam Everhart of Lexington;, two grandchildren, Rocky Cook and wife Tracie of Concord and Daniel Cook of Lexington, and his favorite dog Buddy The family will see friends from 1:00 to 2:00 Monday prior to the service.
