Jack Alvin Everhart

May 23, 1933 — June 3, 2017

Jack Alvin Everhart age 84 of Midway, NC passed away Saturday June 3, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was the widower of Janet Marie Jones Everhart. They shared 59 years of marriage together.   A funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Midway United Methodist Church Christian Fellowship Center conducted by Rev. Charles Ireson and burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8 pm in The Christian Fellowship Center at the church and at other times at the home of his granddaughter, Thomas Road Lexington   He was born May 23, 1933 in Midway, NC to June Everhart and Ollie Miller Everhart. He graduated from Midway School and was retired from R.J.R Tobacco Company and Lacy J. Miller Machine Shop. He was a Volunteer Fireman with Midway Fire Department for many years. He was predeceased by his wife, Janet Marie Jones Everhart and a grandchild, Jean Ann Myers. :twin brother Joe Everhart and siblings, Irvin Everhart and Edith Shoaf.   Jack was a lifelong member of Midway UMC and loved his church with his whole heart. He enjoyed working with the Chicken Pie makers and could be found working around the church on any given day. He was a kind and generous man who never met a stranger. His faithful love of God was evident in everything he did.   He is survived are daughters, Elizabeth (Libby) Everhart of Midway and Susan Everhart of Cooleemee. Grandchildren: Jason Everhart (Heather) and Beth Hair (D.G.) Great Grandchildren: Jack Thomas Everhart, Daniel Hair and Jacob Hair. A sister, Iva Daniels and many beloved friends.   Memorials may be made to Midway UMC 9795 Old US Hwy 52, Lexington, NC 27295 or KBR Hospice Home 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem NC 27103   Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Everhart Family   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net.
