Luther "Jack" Ginn, 64, of Swicegood Road, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at his home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Randy Foster. Mr. Ginn was born in Davidson County Aug. 14, 1942, to Alfred Joe Ginn and Virginia Tesh Ginn. He was a retired employee of AVX Ceramics of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Ruth Ann Ginn; and a granddaughter, Madison Ginn. Surviving are his wife, Doris Craver Ginn of the home; a son, Al Ginn of Linwood; a daughter, Beth Ginn Hensley of Linwood; his mother of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a stepson, Stephen Snyder of Black Mountain; two grandchildren, Jordan Ginn and Chase Hensley; a brother, Dale Ginn of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister, Barbara Ginn of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a brother-in-law, Robert Craver and his wife, Eva; a sister-in-law, Judy Craver; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O. Box 1941, Lexington, NC 27293.
