Jack Lawson, 75, of Aberdeen Drive, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, with Rev. Allen Williams officiating.
Mr. Lawson was born December 1, 1933, in Letcher County, Ky., to William Harold Lawson and Josephine Collins Lawson. Mr. Lawson was retired from Estes Trucking, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served his country during the Korean Conflict, and was a Member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are is wife, Shirley Beck Lawson of the home; one daughter, Patricia Smith of Lexington; one brother, Johnny Lawson and wife, Nancy, of Florida; two sisters, Julia McCarthy of Florida and Janet Gorsuch and husband, Roy, of Ohio. Also surviving are three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:15 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home prior to the service.
Memorials may be made in honor of Mr. Lawson to donor’s choice.
