Jack Carter Little

September 29, 1951 — February 11, 2017

Jack Carter Little, 65, of High Point died Saturday, February 11, 2017.   A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 18 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, by the Rev. Dr. Jim Summey.  Burial will follow at the Grubb Family Cemetery in Churchland.   The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 pm Saturday prior to the funeral service.   Jack was born on September 29, 1951 in Elkin to June Carter and Jeane Holland Little.  He was raised in Lexington, NC and attended local schools.  He graduated high school in 1970 from Oak Ridge Military Institute, where he was a member of the Rifle Drill Team, which took first place in national competition and first place individually.  He was married to the former Debra (Debbie) Leonard and moved to High Point in 1977.  He owned and operated Whetstone Army-Navy Surplus in High Point for approximately 35 years.   Jack is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Debbie; one daughter, Jennifer; two granddaughters, Chelsea and Savannah; one great granddaughter, Sophia Grace; three sisters, Alma Bouchard (Philip), Velma Little, Linda Tysinger (Tony); two brothers, Zeb Little (Donna) and John Robert Little; brother in law, Gene Leonard (Tess), and sister-in-law, Sheila Wilson; nieces, Leslie Stanley (David), Kelly Crotts, Kimberly Wilkerson (Hugh); nephews, Joey Bouchard (Leigh Ann), Andrew Little (Amber), Zeb Vincent Little, Nathan Little, Chris Wilson, (Debra), David Wilson; special friends, Larry Sechrest, James Stafford, Dale Snider, Garry Frank, and Archie Frank; extended family members, and the City of High Point.
