Jack Franklin O'Dell

Jack Franklin O’Dell, 81, of Winston Salem passed away Monday, October 11, 2021.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Faith Church with Pastor Ferrell Towns officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 am Saturday at the church.

Mr. O’Dell was born May 21, 1940, in Huntington, West Virginia to Frank Eugene O’Dell and Dixie Louise Perdue O’Dell. Jack retired from Owens Illinois after 44 years as a mold maker. He was a member of Faith Church and was a wonderful husband, father, and granddad. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Hazelett.

Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Sue O’Dell; three sons, Larry O’Dell of Lexington, Scott O’Dell (Lora) of Winston Salem, and Mark O’Dell of Winston Salem; one sister, Betty McComas of Huntington, West Virginia; and five grandchildren, Amanda, Jason, Cortney, Tyler, and Taylor.
