Jackie “Jack” Dean Blevins age 57 of Lexington died Saturday in Marion, Virginia. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday (6-30-2008) at Forest Hill Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Avery Varnadore and burial will follow at Forest Hill.
Jack was born in Smyth County, Virginia February 1, 1951 to Willard Jack Blevins and Lessie Anderson Blevins. He was a skilled dry wall professional, which was a family trade. He was a simple man and was loved by all who knew him, especially his grand kids. He was of the Baptist Faith and preceded in death by his father.
Surviving are: wife; Debbie Miller Blevins of Lexington, daughter; Jacklyn Blevins Sink and husband Zach Sink of Lexington, two sons; Brian Blevins and wife Mary Beth of Kingsport, TN and Mark Blevins of Marion, VA, 11 grandchildren; Tyler, Trent, Matthew, Phillip, Josh, Christopher, Samantha, Sarah, Savannah, Brianna and Gunner, his mother and step-father;
Lessie Blevins Stapleton and Doug Stapleton of Rural Retreat, VA, step mother; Dorothy Blevins of Marion VA, one sister; Sherrie Jump of Thomasville, five brothers; Larry Blevins of Lexington, Dale and Ted Blevins of Max Meadows, VA, Alan and Curt Blevins of Marion, VA, three half sisters; Jill Robinson, Julie Jones and Lori Blevins all of Marion, VA, many nieces, nephews and good friends, special sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Patti and Jeremy and his beloved dog Rowdy.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home.
