Jackie Lee Laws

Jackie Lee Laws, 74, of Lexington, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, in Forsyth County. He was born on September 25, 1950, in McDowell County, North Carolina, to the late James Oliver and Marie Cordella Medford Laws.

A graveside service to honor Jackie's life will be held 3:00 pm, Friday, April 4 at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington with Rev. David Langley officiating.  The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home 1:30 - 2:30 pm prior to the service, and after the service at Randy and Jennifer's home on; 12 Eastside Drive, Lexington.

Jackie was proud to serve his country in the United States Army in the early seventies and later went on to become a loyal member of the Lexington Moose Lodge and the American Legion. He married the love of his life, Anna Roach Laws, on January 25, 1970, and they shared 55 wonderful years together.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary "Cat" Catherine Medlin, Grace Laxton, Penny Grimes, Evelyn Dotson, and Joyce Ann Taylor; and his brothers, Grayson Laws, James "Jim" Laws, Eugene Laws, David "Buck" Laws, and Pat Martin.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Randy Laws (Jennifer) and Renee Laws (Ronnie Foster); grandchildren, Brittany Laws (Allison Overcash), Kayla Laws (Cody Myers), Keegan Laws, Korrie Crawford (Craver Evans), and Leandra Lockhart (Roger Coe); and great-grandchildren, Connor Crawford, Paisleigh Crawford, and Levi Coe.

He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Laws of Lexington, Karen Mathis (Eddie) of Hickory, Imogene Aleshire (Lenard), Lexie Corbett of Marion, and Lucille Martin of Mena, AR; brothers, Randy Martin of Charlotte, Jim Martin of Winston-Salem, and Clyde Martin of Randleman; honorary brother, Cotton Laws (Donna) of Lexington; brother-in-law, Joel Medlin; and sisters-in-law, Jean Laws of Kernersville and Ruth Laws of Mena, AR, Jackie’s numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own.

His Moose Lodge family and the Roach family held a special place in his heart, and he loved you all very much.

Jackie’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Atrium-High Point Medical Center and Atrium Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem for their compassionate care.

He was a devoted family man who not only spoke of his love but demonstrated it every day. His love and kindness will be missed forever. To know him was to love him.
