Jackson Franklin Parker

Jackson Franklin Parker, 90, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023. A private memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Mr. Parker was born November 24, 1932, in Davidson County, to William Jarvis Parker and Lala Abigail Beck Parker. He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and proudly served his country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, Jackson was preceded in death by one son, Barry Franklin Parker; one daughter, Lara Gayle Parker; four brothers, Charles Parker, Bill Parker, Tommy Parker, and Joe Parker; and two sisters, Margaret Lanier, and Ann James. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Kaye Vawter Parker of the home; one son, Robert Eric Young (Lenai) of Yadkinville; one daughter, Jody Durost (Dan) of Lexington; one daughter in-law, Diana Parker of Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler, Gavin, Robert, Greenleigh, Sarah, and Shyanne; and six great-grandchildren, Luke, Dillon, Philip, Olivia, Hannah, and Lucious.
