Jackson "JC" Carl Spears, 91, of Davidson County, peacefully passed away on October 21, 2025. Born on November 18, 1933, in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Andrew Spears and Vernie Church Spears.
A devoted family man, Jackson found his greatest joy in the love he shared with his family. He especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren, whose lives he enriched with warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength. He was a man of deep values, a steady presence, and a kind heart.
Jackson was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nora "Bernice" Jones Spears, with whom he now reunites in the arms of our Lord. He was also preceded by his son Jackie Spears; his brothers Nolan and Leonard Spears; and his sisters Vickie Leonard, Jewel Turner, Sue Roseberry, Elena Fisher, and Alma Staley.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith through his daughters: Lisa Seawell (Billy), Jeanette Brown (Gary), Dorothy Spears, and Mary Reese (Earl); his brothers Roger and Ronnie Spears, eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside to honor JC’s life will be held on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, starting 11 am, at Lexington City Cemetery, with Pastor Mark Key officiating.
Jackson "JC" Carl Spears will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his deep love for his family, and the enduring strength he passed on to all who knew him. Though he will be dearly missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
