Jacob "Ed" Beal

Jacob “Ed” Beal, age 79, of Canary Drive in Lexington, NC passed away Sunday night at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. A funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday January 28, 2015 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, NC with Pastor Alan Greene officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm prior to the service and other times at the home. Burial will follow at Forest hill Memorial Park. Mr. Beal was born on May 12th 1935 in Montgomery County to Jacob Evert Beal and Alice Cagel Beal. He was a retired textile supervisor and also worked in furniture. Mr. Beal was a family oriented man who truly loved for his children and grandchildren, he also enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Ricky Wayne Beal. Surviving are his loving wife Sybil Ann Beal of the home; four daughters, Gale Moore (Joey) of Thomasville, Teresa Harvey (Ricky)of Lexington, Ann Whiteheart (Bill) of Thomasville, and Fran Myers (Donald) of Lexington; 13 grandchildren, Chad Beal (Tonya), Christy McBride (Brandon), Amanda Ellis (Jonathan), Gavin Kirk (Sasha), Trisha Barnhardt (Eric), Brandi Everhart (Johnny), Sallie Stroud (Brandon), Jennifer Brogden (Tyler), Melissa Sharpe (John), Amy Burchett (Todd), Wendy Bartley (Mike), Travis Myers, and Steven Myers; and 26 great grandchildren.
