Jacob Justice

Jacob “Jake” Justice 43 of Winston Salem passed away unexpectedly but peacefully due to complications of surgery September 29 in the care of UNC Chapel Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Justice of the home. His parents, Gary and Brenda Johnson; A Brother, Chris Johnson (Vicki): his children Cole Justice, Abbigail Justice, Emmalee Justice, Mason Shell, Gracelyn Justice and stepdaughter, Bethany Davis; son(deceased) Jade Justice; 5 grandchildren also survive as well as  aunts uncles and cousins.

Jake married the love of his life, Amy on March 27, 2020. Despite the distance between them, he loved his kids and grandkids whole heartly. Jake loved using his creative ideas and visions to build anything from the ground up. He was an excellent builder of decks and remodeling. He enjoyed being outside. His favorite time of year was Christmas when family gathered. He had a passion for horses, It all started when he was a child in West Virginia with his grandpa.  Some of the best memories as a child were with his grandma and grandpa, Carol and Burl Justice.

Despite his challenges in life, he was a fighter. He always made a way to make things happen. Jake’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those that knew and loved him.

Family and friends will gather at Davidson Funeral Home at Hickory Tree location from 6-8 pm Thursday October 3rd. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am Friday October 4th at Davidson Funeral Home. Internment will follow at New Home Old Regular Baptist Church of Jesus Christ. 9638 E.
