Jacob Sowers Potts Sr., 75, of Roy Hartley Road died Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center following a sudden illness.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. David Robinson. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Potts was born in Davidson County on February 14, 1932, to Walter Gray Potts and Sally Towe Potts. He was an employee of Klopman Mills and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Trexler Potts of the home; sons, Jacob Potts Jr. and wife, Laverne, Mark Potts and wife, Lyndal, Roger Potts and Kevin Potts and wife, Mary Jane, all of Lexington; borther, Bobby Potts and companion, Pat, of Lexington; sisters, Kathleen Lanier, Virginia Weaver and husband, Bryce, all of Lexington; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of a son, 153 Lennox Court off of Highway 150.
