Jacob Edward Strickland, 21, of Lexington, died Monday, January 11, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2016, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Cartrette officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2016, and other times at the home of his father on Becks Church Road.
Mr. Strickland was born December 20, 1994, in Davidson County, to Mark Anthony Strickland and Teri Ann Haley Strickland Holden. He had attended Davidson County Community College and had been employed at Naples Italian Restaurant. Jacob enjoyed cooking, playing video games and spending time with his brothers.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Stephanie Beck of Lexington; mother of Lexington; brothers, Austin Strickland and Casey Strickland, both of Lexington; grandmother, Nadene Gibson of New Jersey; grandfather, Edward “Bo” Gibson of West Virginia; uncles, Tim Strickland and Alisha of Lexington, Jack Haley and Adrienne of Ramseur, and David Haley and Tabitha Rominger of Walnut Cove, Paul Gibson and Lori of Linwood, Kevin Gibson and Lorrie of Virginia, and Chris Gibson and Crystal of Lexington; aunt, Cindy Everette and Randy of Lexington; and stepbrothers, Aaron Beck, Dylan Beck and Landon Beck, all of Lexington.
