Jacob Bryce Younts, age 82 of N. County Home Road, Lexington passed away Monday at his home. A Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Lewis Johns and Chaplain Dewey Everhart and burial to follow in Lexington City Cemetery with Military Rites by Davidson County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 until 8pm Wednesday and at other times at the home.
Mr. Younts was born November 25, 1929 in Davidson County to Jacob Franklin Younts and Lena Jane Reid Younts . He was a retired Sanding Room Supervisor. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was a member of VFW Post 3074, Amvets Post 13, American Legion Post 8 and The Davidson County Honor Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Marvin and Charlie Younts; his sisters, Rhea Younts Young and Ethel Younts Honeycutt; and son in law, L. Wayne Keith.
Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley Atkins Younts of the home; his daughter, Debbie Keith of Lexington; Grandchildren; Sarah Keith Fuentes and husband Marco and Jake Keith all of Lexington; His Great Grandchildren were the apple of his eye, Madison (Punkin) Fuentes and Bella Fuentes. He cherished his friendships with all the staff at Jerry Hunt’s Auto Sales.
