James Cleo "Jack" Andrews, 76, of Jones Drive, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at his home.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Forest United Methodist Church, where he was a charter member, by the Revs. Jacqueline E. Tookey, Doug Pryor and Dwight Cartner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by a memorial honor guard.
Mr. Andrews was born Aug. 24, 1930, in Cumberland County to Henry Carl Andrews and Grace James Andrews. He retired from Western Electric with 30 years of service. He was a life member of Central Piedmont Bowling Association and Hall of Fame. He was an avid golfer at Maple Leaf Golf Club. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea. A son, Jeff Andrews, and his brother, Henry C. "Bob" Andrews Jr., preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Amy Andrews of the home; a daughter, Renee Wall of Durham; two sons, Jimmy Andrews and Tim Andrews, both of Winston-Salem; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel, and other times at the home.
