James Raymond Ashmore

James Raymond Ashmore, age 80 of Ridge Road, Lexington passed away suddenly Sunday morning September 27, 2015 at his home. A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Tuesday September 29, 2015 at Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Family Life Center following the service and at other times at the home. James was born in Davidson County, October 29, 1934 to Charles Wilkes and Kathleen Virginia Kepley Ashmore He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired owner of James Ashmore Accounting in Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Becky Whitlow Ashmore in 2011. Surviving are his daughter, Wendy Ashmore of Lexington; son, J. Randall Ashmore and girlfriend Tammy Lemly of Lexington; grandchildren, Jessica, Cody and Danielle Ashmore, Dylan and Lauren Lemly; 4 great-grandchildren and special friend, Elsie Koonts.
