James Curtis Eggleston, Jr., 67, of Becky Hill Road, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Forsyth Medical Center, following three years of declining health.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Leonard Road Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Tommy Hepler officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at their respective homes.
Mr. Eggleston was born October 4, 1946, in Davidson County, to James Curtis Eggleston Sr. and Clara Rebecca Haneline Eggleston. He was owner and operator of Eggleston Automotive.
Surviving are his wife, Della Thomason Eggleston, of the home; son, Tommy Ray Eggleston and wife Paula of Knoxville, Tn.; daughters, Kathy Hanes and Audrey Hill, both of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Mitchell Garmer and wife Anna, Victor Nunes III and wife Miranda, Ryan Hubbuck, Kaitynne Eggleston, Tasha Hill, Brandon Hill, and Autumn Owens; one great-granddaughter, Kaylie Garmer; brother, Robert Eggleston and wife Annette of Lexington; and sister, Carol Craver Lowe.
