James “Jimmy” Clifton Gobble, age 66 of North Koontz Road, Lexington passed away Saturday evening at Lexington Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from noon until 2 pm prior to the service.
Jimmy was born in Davidson County October 11, 1947 to James Odell gobble and Hazel Pauline Harris Venable. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and a truck driver for Trinity Transport. Jimmy was raised by his loving grandparents who preceded him in death, Early and Mary Peacock, also preceded in death by his father; grandson, Dakota LaPasser; brother, Eddie Venable.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Connie Havens of the home; daughter, Amanda Leigh Gobble (Chris LaPasser) of Lexington; son, Earl Wayne Gobble (Tami) of Orange, TX; mother, Hazel Harris Venable of Lexington; grandchildren, Robyn, Shelby, Brooke and Earl Gobble, Jr.; Dominic, Dylan and Colton LaPasser.
