James Donald Hamm

James “Jim” Donald Hamm, 81, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 08, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Jersey Baptist Church with the Rev. Matt Riggsbee officiating.

Mr. Hamm was born in Davidson County on December 22, 1938 to Thelma Louise Brogdon Hamm. He was retired from Newbridge Bank and had worked at Trimfit, Inc. for over forty years.“Hammer” was an avid golfer all of his life and was a loving father and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Marlene Coppley Hamm; his sister, Louise “Tinker” Crowder; and two grandchildren, Chase Troublefield and Tyler Troublefield.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughters, Tammy Troublefield (Randy) and Penny Lovelace all of Lexington; two grandchildren, Taryn Justice (Corey) and Easton Lovelace; and a great-granddaughter, Hailey Tyler Justice.
