James Gray Hardie

James (Jim) Gray Hardie age 77 passed away Wednesday May 13, 2020 at his home. In order to comply with directives from  Governor Cooper’s Office, a private graveside service will be at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will be at home other times.

Mr. Hardie was born June 18, 1942 in Forsyth County to James Gurney Hardie and Lucille Chandler Hardie. He was owner and operator of Jim Hardie Plumbing. His parents and a sister, Lucy Faye Jones preceded him in death. He honorably served his country in The United States Air Force.

Surviving are his loving wife, Margo Jane Parker Hardie of the home. His Sons: Richard Norman of Mooresville and Alex Norman of Midway. His daughters: Amanda Stewart of King and Cyndi Via of Winston Salem.  Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great grandchildren and his sister, Wanda “Chick” Sheek of Pfafftown.
