James Raley Harman, 58, of Bud Sink Road, died Monday, September 12, 2016, as a result of an accident.
A memorials service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Dr. Lee Zehmer officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Harman was born August 23, 1958, in Davidson County, to John Fuller Harman Jr. and Helen Raley Harman. He was retired. His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife Jean Crouse Harman of the home; daughter, Jennifer Lea Harman Powell and husband Tyler of Albemarle; stepsons, Kendall Doub of Winston-Salem, Mitchell Doub and wife Angel, Elliott Everhart, and Dillon Everhart, all of Lexington; brother, John Fuller Harman III of Lexington; sister, Susan Harman Scott and husband Robert L. Scott Jr. of Nags Head; and nieces, Hilary Stautzenberger and husband Eric and Caroline Harman-Scott.
