James Stanford Hewett Jr.

James Stanford Hewett, Jr., 78, of Lexington passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his home with loving family by his side.

A private service will be held 2pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Emma Milam and Rev. Jamie Autry officiating and will be live streamed  at https://www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome/ . Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Hewett was born August 11, 1941 in Brunswick County to James Stanford Hewett, Sr. and Zettie Thelma Lewis Hewett.  He retired from PPG Industries and a member of Meadowview Deliverance Tabernacle.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Hewett, and his sister, Shirley Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Lee Shipton Hewett of the home; his son, Chris Hewett (Martha) of Lexington; his daughter, Dawn Hewett of Lexington; his brothers, R. E. Hewett (Linda), and Tony Hewett (Debbie); his sisters, Louise “Tootsie” Hewett, and Wanda Wood (Kenny); and three grandchildren, Hannah, C. J. and Kayla Hewett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292.
