James "Jim" Thomas Everhart

James (Jim) Thomas Everhart, age 60 of Marion Lane, Lexington died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, December 14, 2008 at North Lexington Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Everhart was born August 14, 1948 in Davidson county to Sandy Everhart and Mae Tetter Everhart. He was a self employed furniture maker specializing in reproductions of Antique furniture. Preceding him in death were his parents, and his wife, Brenda Leonard Everhart. Surviving are a son, James Franklin (P-nut) Everhart of Lexington, an Adopted son, Keith Burcham of Lexington, a daughter, Kelly Leonard Gibson and her fiancé Padro Taberos of Lexington, two grandchildren, Tiffany Gibson and Jasmine Gibson both of Lexington; two sisters, Brenda Essick and husband, Wayne, Sandra Burcham and husband, Jr. all of Lexington, nieces, Jennifer and husband, Roger, Wendy, Ashley, and Courtney; nephews, Stevie and wife Heather, Jeremy, Noah, Roger, Jordan, Little Roger and Buck. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm Sunday, December 14, 2008 at the church and other times at the home of the sister, Sandra Burcham, 2126 Marion Lane, Lexington. Memorials may be directed to ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease), Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter, 1425-113 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.
