James “Jim” Ronald Hunt, Jr. 68 of Winston-Salem passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. A graveside service with military graveside rites will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Jennifer Gentle officiating. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Monday, January 22, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree. Jim was born in Forsyth County on August 5, 1949 to the late James Ronald Hunt, Sr. and Margaret Louise Ransome. He formerly worked at Caudill Electric and served in the US Navy. He loved Nascar racing and carp fishing. He was a former member of GWRA Chapter B2. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Hunt, Sr. Surviving is his wife Lois Ardene Smith Hunt of the home; a step-son, Randy Fulcher of Winston-Salem; a step-daughter, Tina Bentley (Mike) of Winston-Salem; sisters, Judy Lovelace, (Ron, Sr.) of Lexington, Virginia Burke (Johnny, Sr.) of Pfafftown and Glenda Owens (Roger, Sr.) of Lewisville; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Travis and Heather, and a host of nieces and nephews Memorials may be made to Davidson County Animal Shelter, 490 Glendale Road, Lexington, NC 27292 and Wounded Warrior Project, P.
